David R. Nelson, M.D. — Medical Director, Internal Care
Dr. David R. Nelson has served on the hospital's medical staff since 1991. A board-certified pulmonologist, he provides clinical management oversight for critically ill patients and the staff caring for them. Dr. Nelson's expertise in critical care and pulmonary medicine includes the diagnosis and treatment of lung diseases of many types and severity.
Dr. Nelson practices full-time at Barlow's Main Campus in Los Angeles and also oversees care given at Barlow's satellite facilities at Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital (PIH) in Whittier and Valley Presbyterian Hospital (VPH) in Van Nuys.
